Baking with My Boy - Spritz


Made spritz cookies this weekend.

They're always fun to make. E loves to run the "gun" and his teacher happens to looove spritz cookies so he was excited to help make some for her.

I used the recipe from Betty Crocker's Cooky Book:

1 cup butter

2/3 cup sugar

3 egg yolks

1 tsp. almond or vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups flour

Heat oven to 400º. Mix butter, sugar, egg yolks and extract thoroughly. Work in flour. Using 1/4 dough at a time, force dough through cooky press on ungreased baking sheet in desired shapes. Bake 7-10 minutes or until set but not brown.
