Let's Get a Silver Bullet Trailer

Have you ever had a really great idea...

just not the means or the confidence or the time or whatever to accomplish your great idea?

And then... you find out that someone else is already doing that super cool thing that you thought of?

DANG!!

I've had a thing for the old "Silver Bullet" trailers for years (LOTS of YEARS!) - since waaay before McDreamy showed up with his Airstream on Grey's. I wanted one for some stylish vintage camping but also in the back of my mind, I was thinking...

Wouldn't it be cool to fix a vintage camper up with a really cool awning and take her to flea markets and other outdoor events and sell cookies and stuff?

Well wouldn't you know...

I wasn't the only one with that idea...

It seems every where I click in the blogosphere, I see this adorable vintage Shasta - Enjoy Cupcakes.

It's not a "Silver Bullet" trailer but otherwise - it's pretty much the same idea.

I'm very jealous!

I do have a vintage camper. About 3 years ago we bought a 1964 Avion just like the one shown in the brochure above. We named her the Regina Louise aka Regi. She's needed a lot of TLC - we've been working on her a little at a time. I'm hoping maybe next summer she'll be ready for the road. Not sure she'll ever be a "Cookie Camper" - I'm sure that would require some special modifications for licensing - but we'll see!

About the camper cookie...

I made these camper cookies - just for fun. I just wanted to play.

So - feeling a little lazy - I decided to just buy the dough instead of mixing my own. BAD IDEA! It didn't really save me that much time and the cookies turned out terrible! They didn't hold their shape at all when I baked them. So they looked pretty awful. Oh well. Live and learn - it never pays to cut corners!
