Sorry - I have not had a spare second to get anything posted in quite a while. However, I did share a recipe for Chocolate Refrigerator Cookies on Paper Cake Finds.
A couple of weeks ago, my Grandpa wanted to have a picnic (even though it was like 10º outside!). So - he made hot dogs & potato salad & we ate them on paper plates and called it a picnic! I brought these refrigerator cookies to the picnic. It was funny how excited everyone was about them - it's a simple recipe that my family has been making for decades. My grandpa says he remembers his mom making these cookies in the wooden icebox that his dad built! I used the recipe that my mom gave me when I got married. It is the same as the recipe in the 1964 Betty Crocker Cooky book, so I don't know if it's exactly the same as the recipe my Great-Grandma made in the '30s. Who knows - maybe Betty got the recipe from Great Grandma!
